THE PROJECT VETQI

VETQI is a Leonardo Da Vinci European project, co-financed by the European Commission. This acronym stands for Vocational and Educational Training Quality in the ICT sector. The challenge of the partnership is to elaborate a European quality system for evaluation of training for the SME dealing with ICT and for the Vet providers.

WHY VET QI?

Main reason to develop such a project were born from the demands of the never ending changes in innovation that push the ICT employers to match high levels of performance, updating and specializing knowledge.

AIMS: COMPETITIVENESS

A cooperation between VET institutions and companies in Europe is desirable to achieve high efficiency in training and high performance in enterprises. For this reason the project aims to connect EU policies related to quality assurance systems for VET with the real needs in ICT SMEs activities in order to activate initiatives for supporting national and international competitiveness

Good training also needs transparency and recognition of competences and qualifications therefore the most ambitious objective of VET QI is to elaborate a sustainable, concrete and transferable tools, based on EQAVET, the European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training and to develop indicators of recognition for VET quality certification.

VET QI CERTIFICATION TRADEMARK

The project will lead to the creation of :

• Web portal with tools for evaluation of ICT Smes and Vet Providers quality in training, together with information and connection with EQAVET policies implementation.
• VET QI TRADEMARK: a trademark to be assigned to entities applying in the VETQI program
• VET QI SCOREBOARD that will be assigned to organizations or VET PROVIDER qualified through the VETQI tools,
• “VET QI European CHART for ICT” that will be assigned to ICT SMEs following directives of the VETQI quality program
